Planning our marketing campaigns, using a variety of channels and techniques. Working closely with the community team on how we market ourselves on our social media channels, and finding the best ways to maximize our output digitally so that we are reaching our goals and objectives.
What's the most unique part of your role at The Student Room?
The crossover of disciplines and input from other departments to get marketing campaigns running to the best possible standard, and achieving the best results.
What do you find most exciting about working in the student & youth market?
In marketing, there isn't much that isn't relevant to the student and youth audience. It's not just about studying, it's about all of the personal and lifestyle things that centre around it - making it a really exciting place to be as a marketing professional.
If you could give your student self one piece of advice what would it be?
Get some sleep! Whilst staying up late playing games and reading is fun, you'll only regret it in the morning.
And more importantly - do what you want to do! Stop worrying about following the crowd and grab any opportunity you're presented with. Ultimately 'your way' will turn out right in the end.
