So what does your job actually involve? Tell us all about it
My job is all about making sure The Student Room's B2B products meet the needs of our education, consumer and recruitment clients and also effectively deliver on core B2B KPIs.
It involves understanding client needs and how our products fit into their worlds, mapping product development so they're loved by our clients and sales teams, managing product roll out efficiently and effectively to time and delivering sales and marketing collateral and training to ensure our products are a success!
What's the most unique part of your role at The Student Room?
Probably the fact that I work across all teams, I have my fingers in all the pies! It's really important for my role that I understand what's going on across the business and what's happening in all the different areas so I can help to get things done.
What do you find most exciting about working in the student & youth market?
It's constantly changing. Experiences that I had when I was younger are already so different to what people are experiencing today and that's really exciting. It means we have to keep on top of how the world and people in it are working, but I think it's a great time to be in student and youth market.
If you could give your student self one piece of advice what would it be?
You always have choices. Too often people think that their path is already laid out for them or they want to follow in other people's footsteps or wishes. You have one life, live it for yourself and take advantage of all the different opportunities it throws at you.
