So what does your job actually involve? Tell us all about it
The most important element of my job is putting the career opportunities that employers have in front of our student audience. I work with employers who have vacancies for apprenticeships, internships and graduate roles to build a strong talent pipeline for them through winning the hearts and minds of students.
What's the most unique part of your role at The Student Room?
The huge variety of clients that I get to work with. One day I'll be working on a campaign for a Times Top 100 employer, the next day the public sector, the next day a start up business. Plus the amount of times I get to beat my boss at table tennis!
What do you find most exciting about working in the student & youth market?
The thriving ambition of the age group that we work with and being in a position to help so many students achieve their goals.
If you could give your student self one piece of advice what would it be?
Get to those lectures. I decided that my final year was the year to party rather than really knuckle down. Plus, being more proactive in looking for opportunities for my development. Back in the day these opportunities were not as bounteous as today but I certainly could have done more.
