Base: 176 responses from 2023 entry UGs, 150 responses from Year 13 2023 entry UGs (1st- 3rd July 2023)
We asked 2023 entry undergraduates how they were feeling at the start of the Summer break. Some of the key insights from the data include:
- Two-thirds of Year 13 respondents were confident they would get the results they needed for their firm choice university.
- While there was confidence that they would get the grades they needed, and some felt excited, spontaneously respondents described feeling nervous or anxious about Results Day. 34% felt they didn’t have enough information to help them make decisions on Results Day.
- If left without a place on Results Day, respondents were more likely to stay loyal to their chosen course than their chosen university.
- The majority of Year 13 respondents recognised that Clearing was a good choice for people who want to change their options.
