We are looking for a Senior Marketing Executive to join The Student Room Group.

What does a Senior Marketing Executive do at The Student Room?

As the Senior Marketing Executive, you will use your passion for the Higher Education sector and love of supporting young people to communicate to our clients why The Student Room is the most useful and best-loved online student community there is.

In this role, you’ll lead our B2B marketing efforts and provide essential support to our sales team. Reporting into the Head of Marketing and collaborating closely with the Head of University Accounts and Head of Agency Partners, you will drive impactful marketing and sales activities, helping to keep The Student Room and our audience at the forefront of our clients’ minds.

Your responsibilities will include developing and delivering a B2B marketing strategy, executing campaigns across various channels, managing our B2B platform (TSR Matters), and coordinating events.

Key role responsibilities:

  • Deliver our B2B marketing strategy aligned with The Student Room’s OKRs, brand, and commercial goals.
  • Work with the marketing executives to create impactful marketing campaigns across email, social media and events to engage key accounts and nurture new relationships.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure commercial needs are being supported.
  • Design compelling digital sales collateral to support the commercial team.
  • Utilise the CMS to manage the commercial website, TSR Matters, focusing on traffic growth and lead generation.
  • Manage our B2B social media presence via LinkedIn.
  • Coordinate and manage B2B events, both online (webinars) and in person.
  • Work with the Community Team, to create data-informed sentiment insights that reflect the voice of students, showcasing clear opportunities for universities to address challenges and meet student expectations.
  • Handle administrative tasks including mailbox management, CRM updates and providing sales assistance.
  • Report on and review marketing campaigns to inform future optimisation.

  • Experience of working within a B2B marketing role (essential)
  • A strategic and commercial way of thinking
  • A data-driven approach
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage others on a per-campaign basis
  • Excellent organisational, time planning and prioritisation skills
  • An ability to create (and proofread) compelling content
  • Excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills
  • Has the ability to multi-task to complete jobs to strict deadlines
  • Experience using a CMS (Content Management System)
  • Experience of working within Higher Education marketing (desired)
  • Strong attention to detail

Salary: £30-34k per annum

Location: Our team meets twice a week in our Brighton office. We’re looking for someone who can commit to attending the office at least twice per week and more frequently during induction or for company events.
