Edge Hill wanted to engage student users across The Student Room site to nurture and attract prospective applicants.

The solution

We recommended a holistic approach, covering student engagement, remarketing and lead generation, utilising our Premium University Partner Pack, which includes: offsite remarketing (Ada) and The Uni Guide direct response lead buttons. Edge Hill also targeted students who were looking at similar universities using our Competitor Clearing email.

Their Competitor Clearing email achieved an open rate 23.4% and a click-to-open rate of 7.3%; the campaign generated 56 unique clicks.

Between May and October 2021, The Uni Guide lead pack has delivered 615 click leads and 40 high-intent form submissions.

How did your campaign compare to your expectations?

“Overall, we’re really pleased with the results. This year, activity with TSR (excluding TheUniGuide) has generated almost 2.5K referrals with an average conversion rate of 8%. Most traffic came from remarketing ads (Ada) which proved effective – conversion tracking identified these were high-quality conversions from engaged users. Display tends to consistently perform well and above sector benchmarks. We’re always looking to try new ways to reach our audience too which TSR are keen to support with by allowing us to trial new products. The Clearing Competitor email performed well, with one of the highest CTOR over the Clearing period.”
