We’re Hiring – CRM marketing manager
We are looking for a CRM Marketing Manager to join The Student Room Group.
What does a CRM marketing manager do at TSR?
Working within our Marketing team, you will be responsible for managing the successful development and performance of the Student Room Group’s CRM Strategy.
This is an ideal opportunity to manage and develop the performance of TSR’s CRM strategy. It involves producing effective, personalised email marketing campaigns and scoping, building and managing automated email campaigns. You will analyse results to make insight-based decisions, and work with the web team to build a joined up experience across web and email
Key role responsibilities
- Ownership of eCRM strategy across TSR with a focus on introducing best practice and driving results.
- Building and optimising all student-facing eCRM comms, using personalisation to reduce frequency and increase engagement.
- Optimisation of existing CRM programs, scoping of new CRM programs and idea generation.
- Daily, weekly and monthly reporting to ensure results are meeting company and personal KPI’s.
- Delivering sponsored emails through the internal Ad Operations team to ensure these emails are on brand, follow best practice and are optimised.
- Management of all triggered CRM programs throughout the student lifecycle to maximise performance of company KPIs, including opted in database growth, data collection and active users.
- Effective database segmentation and implementation to drive engagement.
- Drive regular improvements by defining a testing roadmap across manual and automated campaigns.

- Manage and maintain the CRM comms calendar, ensuring the right users are being hit with the right messages at the right time.
- Building strong relationships with other central teams, in particular the Community Team, B2B Marketing and Ad Operations.

- Proven track record working with CRM
- In depth knowledge and interest of CRM
- Forward thinking and ability and experience of planning and scoping projects
- Interpersonal skills – prioritising and consolidating briefs, plus managing stakeholders accordingly.
- Self-motivated, driven and goal orientated with a high tempo work ethic
- Ability to embrace and adapt to change
- Excellent communication skills with strong verbal and numerical capability
- Previous work with personalisation (desirable not essential)
- Degree or equivalent (desirable not essential)
