Our campaign with The Student Room contributed to a 52% increase in our website traffic. During the same period, 7% of all unique visitors to our site were directly referred from TSR. We have been very impressed with the results, as well as the responsiveness and friendliness of TSR’s team. We intend to further optimise on our past success, thanks to the constructive feedback provided by The Student Room.
Young people have opinions and aren't afraid to voice them. Trends change all the time, and these are formed by the very people who use our site, so it's really exciting to see this forming before our eyes!
The best thing about working in this market is knowing we are providing support to students through what can be tumultuous and pressured times. I wish I had known about TSR when I was a student!! I'm constantly amazed at how much young people want to help each other. Working on Get Revising, there's an amazing level of maturity and enthusiasm in the live discussions as students work together to help each other with their learning. The positivity is incredibly infectious and rewarding.
I find it pretty amazing to think that I'm helping contribute to a service that gets used by thousands of people on a daily basis, and any of those people could end up to become our future leaders, or even the next Nikola Tesla!
Using The Student Room really helps us at Ernst & Young to interact with students and help them with their applications to our graduate and school leaver programmes. It has proved really effective for our recruitment campaigns, and allows us to speak directly to students about what kind of career they want and how Ernst & Young could help them get there.
The student room is an extraordinary tool for young people, to help them through some of the most important years of their lives. TSR helps them 24 hours a day, in all the successes and concerns they have, at a stage in their lives where they are learning about the world and finding out what interests them. Hopefully some of those decisions they make with The Student Room's help are better choices.

Young people have a passion and intelligence that's entirely unique to them. They lead the way for us and people should listen to them more because what they say is exciting and usually right. Personally, I could listen to their creative ideas and enthusiasm all day – and I really enjoy helping to match that up with other organisations like brands and higher education institutions.
TSR proved to be a great platform in terms of raising awareness for Bath Spa University and their Undergraduate courses. As the largest student website in the world, we were able to maximise the reach to their target audience and minimise the time and resource spent on advertising across a number of different websites. I’ve no doubt we’ll work with The Student Room again and I have no hesitation in recommending them.
Working in the student/youth market is exciting because they will be our future Prime Ministers, scientists, parents etc and it's nice to think we play a small part in helping them get there by supporting and inspiring them.
Roll back 3/4/5 years and you'd have to explain The Student Room each time you met someone new. Now it's "oh I know you guys, I used you when I was a student". I love how the market is getting more and more online, and the openness and clarity that brings. In equal measure the effects of this on organisations to keep up.
