After quite a number of years avoiding The Student Room, we were this year for the first time in a position to consider a presence on TSR. After a very successful meeting, we decided to go the whole way an invest a sizable proportion of budget in to TSR. To date, we’ve not been disappointed. Our account has been managed superbly, with lots of advice and help to make the most of our presence. Nothing is ever too much trouble and if I need any information, I always get a response incredibly quickly. I’m really enjoying being able to engage with our students directly and will be enhancing our profile in due course. It’s been a great experience and long may it continue.
Aston University has worked with The Student Room for a number of years and for a range of campaign objectives. As well as recruiting, we feel it is important to have a good presence and engage with students on The Student Room where we know students are having the conversations and making timely decisions. Our campaigns have varied from pre-app or course promotion, to using a more engaging university guide and official rep. 2013-2014 has been very successful in particular where we have seen huge growth in levels of engagement in what is clearly a critically important media, both for students and Aston alike.
We used The Student Room as part of our October Open Day promotion campaign. It proved to be our most successful campaign of the year with nearly 40% more unique visitors than other web advertising.
TSR proved to be a great platform in terms of raising awareness for Bath Spa University and their Undergraduate courses. As the largest student website in the world, we were able to maximise the reach to their target audience and minimise the time and resource spent on advertising across a number of different websites. I’ve no doubt we’ll work with The Student Room again and I have no hesitation in recommending them.
We work with The Student Room because of the size of their relevant audience and we are always impressed by their flexibility, creativity and the personalised service we receive from their team.
Our campaign with The Student Room contributed to a 52% increase in our website traffic. During the same period, 7% of all unique visitors to our site were directly referred from TSR. We have been very impressed with the results, as well as the responsiveness and friendliness of TSR’s team. We intend to further optimise on our past success, thanks to the constructive feedback provided by The Student Room.
I have found it immensely rewarding to converse with and hopefully help large numbers of students whom I simply would not be able to reach otherwise…. TSR is a great way of connecting directly with students and is a great way of raising your profile among potential applicants and your reputation as an institution that is interested in them and their concerns

My team certainly feel valued, and with that feeling comes a belief that it's worthwhile engaging with TSR at a much earlier stage and at a more strategic level - in turn, that leads to better solutions, happier clients, and more money all round!
Using The Student Room really helps us at Ernst & Young to interact with students and help them with their applications to our graduate and school leaver programmes. It has proved really effective for our recruitment campaigns, and allows us to speak directly to students about what kind of career they want and how Ernst & Young could help them get there.
We have noticed that there is a much improved understanding of our clients and the briefs that we send through, as well as an large increase in the level of service from the team members - they are attentive, quick to respond, and always very professional
